No Asylum Seeker Should Face Detention Alone
Help support the Detention Bridge Project
Historically, every dollar donated to L4GG results in $10X worth of pro bono legal services - so your support is a direct force multiplier for hope, safety, and dignity nationwide
Right now, 65,000 immigrants sit in detention centers—up from 39,000 in January 2025. Many are people wrongly detained in recent ICE raids in Minneapolis and other targeted cities, then transferred far away—often to detention centers in Texas. Most will face deportation proceedings completely alone, hundreds or thousands of miles from home.
The stakes: Immigrants with legal representation are 5x more likely to win their cases. But detention centers operate as legal deserts—willing attorneys can't help because procedures are impossible to navigate.
The Detention Bridge Project mobilizes lawyers across the country, both remotely and in-person, to gather information from and provide consultations to detainees. We're deploying first to El Paso—at a center seeing an outsized impact from the Minneapolis raids—where we have an on-the-ground partner facilitating access to the centers and coordinating intakes.
Your part: Your generous gift launches and sustains this work throughout 2026.
