Since our founding in late 2016, Lawyers for Good Government has operated both a 501(c)3 to support our pro bono and charitable programs and a 501(c)4 to support our lobbying and other political activities. The 501(c)3 was officially named Lawyers for Good Government Foundation and the 501(c)4 was named Lawyers for Good Government.
However, we are known to most of our supporters as simply Lawyers for Good Government. Therefore, to increase clarity about our entities and their separate roles, we’ve officially changed the name of our 501(c)3 to Lawyers for Good Government, which we will abbreviate as L4GG. Going forward, our 501(c)4 will be known as Lawyers for Good Government Action Fund, which we will abbreviate as L4GG Action Fund.
