ABOUT US
Former Project Corazon Director Priscilla Orta speaks to a group of Haitian asylum seekers in Reynosa, MX.
Project Corazón was created to defend the rights of migrants in the face of inhumane immigration policies. The project is run by Lawyers for Good Government in partnership with dozens of top law firms and with the support of thousands of lawyers and translators who have provided assistance to immigrants and their families.
Our programs
Pro bono attorneys assist an asylum seeker with a work permit application during an in-person clinic with allied law firms.
We implement legal programs that respond to the urgent needs of migrants and asylum seekers. Through pro bono legal representation, strategic litigation, and partnerships with law firms, universities, and organizations, we work to ensure that every person seeking safety in the U.S. has access to justice, dignity, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives.
OUR IMPACT
Since 2018, Project Corazón has provided free legal assistance to tens of thousands of migrants and asylum seekers across the United States and at the U.S.–Mexico border. Behind each case is a family striving to live with dignity, a parent fighting to provide for their children, an LGBTQ+ individual seeking safety, or a person facing urgent medical needs and extreme vulnerability. Our impact is made possible through the dedication of pro bono attorneys, allied law firms, and generous supporters who believe in the power of access to justice. With your partnership, we can continue to expand our reach, serve more families, and ensure that every individual seeking protection has the opportunity to build a future free from fear. Every donation, every hour volunteered, and every alliance forged strengthens our shared ability to defend human rights and transform lives.
Your contribution will make a difference.
