Weekly Endangerment Finding Comment Trainings
Right now, there is a devastating proposal that could unravel one of the most important protections against climate change in the United States.
The Environmental Protection Agency’s “Endangerment Finding” is the official decision—based on overwhelming scientific evidence—that pollution from greenhouse gases is dangerous to our health, our safety, and our future. This finding is what gives the EPA the legal power to limit dangerous emissions from cars, trucks, power plants, and factories.
This impacts all of us. If it’s repealed, the federal government would lose its strongest tool for slowing climate change - meaning more extreme heat, wildfire smoke, floods, and storms, as well as higher costs for energy, insurance, groceries, and healthcare. It would touch every household: children with asthma, seniors vulnerable to heat, outdoor workers, farmers, and communities already living with heavy pollution. We cannot let this happen.
Please join Lawyers for Good Government for our weekly Comment Trainings to learn how to draft and submit a substantive public comment by Monday, September 22, 2025. Our goal is to build a legal record neither the EPA nor the courts can ignore.
No expertise is required. If you can commit just 5–10 hours over the next few weeks, you can write a strong comment. Your voice is crucial.
What you’ll get:
A step-by-step framework for writing an effective, unique comment that the EPA must respond to
Templates, citations, and a clear summary of the proposed rule
Ongoing support
Who should attend: Pro bono attorneys, law students, advocates, scientists, and anyone ready to help protect our communities and our planet.
Important note: These Comment Trainings may not be recorded or distributed. Comment templates and other resources will only be shared with registrants. All registrants are subject to approval.
